Program Details –

Improve quality of life through improved Sanitation and housing is one of the Key Program of BRIC Foundation.

BRIC Foundation has been working for last couple of years to provide safe drinking water and low cost housing in rural Bangladesh. BRIC Foundation understands the need for proper sanitation and hygienic toilets in public places in semi urban and rural/remote areas of the country. The journey is long and BRIC Foundation plans to work with other Government and non-government organizations to improve public sanitation situation.

In June, 2026, BRIC Foundation launched its first Community Sanitation Project in Assasuni Upazilla of Sathkhira district. Foundation laying ceremony took place on the 23rd of June, 2026 in Nurul Ulum Madrasha & Hifz Khana. This will cover the students and teachers of the institutes as well as public of the surrounding areas.

There will be facilities for both male and females. The facility will have toilets, showers as well as place for ablution.

Advisor of BRIC Foundation, Retired Secretary Mr. Ahmad Mahmudur Raza Chowdhury, Mr. Imran Ahmed Chowdhury – President BRIC Foundation, VP of BRIC Foundation Ms. Fowwara Chowdhury, Co Founders of BRIC Foundation Ms. Arshia Butul & Mr. Iftekhar Ahmad were present during the program. Alhajj Abu Daud Dhali, Chairman of 10th Union under Protapnagar was also present

The design of the Community Sanitation facility is developed by Architect Arshia Butul. BRIC Foundation hopes to roll this out to other parts of Bangladesh as and when possible.
